In 1997 Fender's renowned Custom Shop team were able to examine and document Rory's hallowed Stratocaster. From that, a faithful recreation was formed - replicating every detail and characterful sound. It proved so popular and impactful, that Fender are now producing a Tribute Stratocaster with all the same accuracy as their first signature models.

From the aged sunburst finish that's been chipped away after countless gigs, to the array of Sperzel and Gotoh tuning machines, this is the soul, character and feel of the Rory's guitar - right here for you to experience.

So, it looks the part, but how does it sound? Sporting a trio of custom voiced, hand-wound '60s pickups, the answer is pretty accurate! Replicating everything in great detail, you'll enjoy the same balanced tonal response as Rory's single coils. And like Strats from that period, they'll chime with a vintage warmth and a lower-output growl.

Reviving the past. As this is a '60s era signature you can expect a host of period-correct appointments to bring the classic spirit.
