The Studio Session uses Ultra Modern weight relief to keep the classic Les Paul feel while significantly reducing shoulder strain. This chambering approach maintains sustain and resonance while offering a lighter, more comfortable experience on stage and in the studio. The AA figured maple cap adds brightness and bite, complementing the warmth of the mahogany body.
The SlimTaper neck profile is designed for speed and comfort, encouraging fluid movement across the fretboard. The Modern Contoured Heel offers excellent upper fret access, making leads and high-register chord work far more natural. The bound ebony fretboard adds a premium feel, providing a smooth, articulate response under the fingers.
The combination of a ’57 Classic neck pickup and ’57 Classic Plus bridge pickup gives the guitar a dynamic range of vintage-inspired tones. With push/pull coil taps on both volume knobs, plus phase switching and Pure Bypass on the tone controls, players can access single-coil clarity, classic humbucker warmth, out-of-phase textures and a direct, uncoloured signal from the bridge pickup. This makes the Studio Session exceptionally adaptable across genres.
Grover Rotomatic tuners with Keystone buttons offer stable, precise tuning, while the aluminium Nashville Tune-O-Matic bridge and Stop Bar tailpiece provide excellent sustain and intonation. Cream plastics and the Bourbon Burst finish give the guitar a timeless aesthetic. The included Gibson soft shell case offers lightweight protection, making this one of the most feature-rich Studio models ever released.
The guitar comes with a trio of Maestro effects pedals, offering fantastic scope for shaping some epic tones. You’ll get the Fuzz-Tone Fuzz FZ-M, Discoverer Delay, and Invader Distortion pedals. Each pedal can be powered by a 9V battery of regulated 9V DC power supply (not included). Together, they form the foundation of a great pedal board.
