Phil Collen

Phil Collen is an English musician known best as the lead guitarist of the rock band Def Leppard. Collen joined the band in 1982 and also had side projects with the likes of Man Raze, Tush, and Dumb Blondes. He has worked closely with Jackson Guitars over the last few decades to produce an ergonomically correct electric guitar. Collen's PC1 Dinky was one of the original Jackson signature guitars, and continues to be as popular today as it was when it was first launched. This new line up USA Signature guitars have been updated to Collen's latest tastes and specifications.

Body

Players will love the new updated PC1 as it features a caramelized mahogany body, topped with 1/8" quilt maple top, delivering a rich, warm tone with eye-catching looks. Like other models from Jackson, the PC1 offers a single-cutaway body shape, allowing players to take full advantage of the whole fingerboard, including those unreachable high frets.

Compound Radius Fingerboard

This USA signature model features a compound-radius fingerboard, crafted from caramelized flame maple. This new innovative design means the fingerboard is gradually flatter toward the neck heel, and more rounded profile at the nut. This makes for comfortable and natural-feeling chording and riffing near the nut, with optimal shred articulation and bending nearer the heel.

Trio Of Pickups

This 2017 PC1 comes equipped a DiMarzio DP-152-F Humbucker, a DP-152-F Humbucker and not forgetting Collen's legendary Sustainer Driver for endless sustain effect. Players can easily dial in sustain with a blend knob for added effect.

Additional Features

This stunning 2017 PC1 is packed full of ornate details that add to its overall appearance including a convenient thumbwheel truss rod butt adjust, licensed Fender Stratocaster headstock, gold coloured hardware, Floyd Rose Original Locking bridge and nut, and dome style control knobs.
