The 1979 Roland JC-120 Jazz Chorus is one of the most iconic solid-state guitar amplifiers ever produced. Manufactured in Japan during the golden era of Roland's production, this early JC-120 is celebrated for its exceptional build quality, immense clean headroom and the unmistakable stereo chorus sound that has appeared on countless recordings since the late 1970s.

Delivering 120 watts of stereo power through a pair of 12-inch speakers, the JC-120 produces an incredibly articulate clean tone with remarkable clarity and dynamic response. Its legendary analogue stereo chorus and vibrato circuits remain a benchmark for modulation effects, offering lush, spacious sounds that have become synonymous with artists across jazz, pop, rock and alternative music.

Dual independent channels provide flexibility for multiple instruments or effects setups, while the spring reverb adds warmth and depth. Renowned for its reliability and consistency, the JC-120 is equally at home on stage, in the studio or as part of a professional backline.

Vintage Japanese examples from the late 1970s are increasingly sought after by collectors and players alike, representing one of Roland's finest amplifier designs.
