At the centre of the CT-X700 is Casio’s AiX sound source, designed to reproduce the character and expression of different instruments across the keyboard. It covers everything from powerful bass sounds and clear upper registers to acoustic piano, drums, strings, and more. Dedicated digital signal processing is applied across different sound types, helping individual parts remain distinct when you’re using several sounds together. With 600 tones built in, there’s plenty of room to experiment. You can switch instruments to suit the song, explore new arrangements, or simply find sounds that make practice more interesting.

Build fuller arrangements quickly

You don’t need a full band to add some backing to your playing. The CT-X700 includes 190 rhythms and automatic accompaniment, letting you trigger drums, bass, and other parts by playing chords with your left hand. This gives you a fuller musical setting for practising melodies, trying chord progressions, or working on complete arrangements. Auto Harmonise can also add harmony to the melodies you play, with 12 types available. Plus, 310 music presets provide ready-made combinations of tones and rhythms for different genres, helping you get an appropriate setup in place quickly.

Create phrases with one touch

The built-in arpeggiator gives you 100 types to explore, automatically creating arpeggios and musical phrases from the notes you hold. Its included patterns cover approaches suited to guitar, bass, and synthesiser-style parts, so you can add movement without having to play every note individually. It’s useful when experimenting with arrangements or when you want to hear how a simple chord can work as a more detailed part. Alongside the arpeggiator, layer and split functions let you combine or divide sounds across the keyboard, giving you more ways to shape your setup around the music you’re playing.

Keep your favourite setups ready

Once you’ve found a combination that works, the CT-X700 makes it easy to return to it. Registration memory stores up to 32 setups across eight banks, including settings such as tones, rhythms, and tempos. You can then recall those settings when needed, making changes during a performance or practice session much simpler. One Touch Presets offer another quick way to configure the keyboard, while the backlit LCD keeps useful information visible as you navigate sounds and functions. With plenty of sounds and backing options available, these controls help you spend less time navigating settings and more time playing.
