The Acoustronic Flux Oscillator is the core of the LIVEN Evoke, producing a unique blend of acoustic and electronic tones. It combines 34 sampled acoustic instruments, each with 256 Acoustic Characteristic Arrays, with 20 waveforms that deliver harmonic and textural variation. This fusion results in sounds that evolve naturally, ranging from nostalgic upright pianos to abstract drones.

Backtide modulation reverses and modulates the acoustic elements, creating undulating motion ideal for ambient music and soundscapes. The engine also includes filtered white noise sources and pitch control across ±2 octaves, giving you flexibility to sculpt everything from subtle, organic tones to harmonically rich pads and experimental textures. By blending INST and WAVE layers, you can create sound palettes that feel both familiar and otherworldly.

Musical granular effects

Grain FX transforms standard sounds into dynamic, shifting textures by slicing phrases into micro-grains. The effect’s buffer size syncs to your project tempo, allowing time-stretched or harmonised grains to integrate seamlessly with your music. Grain pitch can be set to octaves, fifths, or musical scales, while controls for grain shape, time warp, and spatial positioning make it possible to create anything from shimmering atmospheres to glitchy rhythmic patterns.

With 16 editable presets, Grain FX is straightforward to use and can be applied per track or to external stereo inputs, expanding your creative possibilities during both performance and recording. It allows you to push traditional sound design further, creating textures that evolve and transform over time.

Immersive reverb selection

The LIVEN Evoke features 10 reverb algorithms designed to add depth, space, and warmth to your compositions. From short reflective rooms to the ethereal ‘Mirage,’ each reverb is tuned for ambient and cinematic applications. Send levels are adjustable for each track, enabling precise control of spatial placement.

Combining reverb with Grain FX opens up expansive sound design opportunities, such as shimmer-like textures or evolving atmospheric beds. This pairing is particularly suited to building meditative or soundtrack-style pieces that require both movement and depth.

Compact 4-track sequencing

The built-in sequencer offers 64 steps per pattern across 4 tracks, with up to 128 patterns available for saving. It captures both note input and sound parameter adjustments using Parameter Lock, so every detail of your performance is preserved. You can record in real time, step-by-step, or add notes on the fly for fluid composition.

Probability settings, random phrase playback, and 16 preset patterns encourage experimentation. With One-Finger Chord mode, Note Hold, and MIDI or SYNC connectivity, the sequencer is a powerful tool for building intricate ambient arrangements. Combined with its portable, battery-powered design and built-in speaker, the Evoke lets you create music anywhere, free from the constraints of a fixed setup.
