Antares Mutator Overview

Antares Mutator, Digital Delivery is a unique and powerful vocal effects plugin that uses proprietary modelling technology, ideal for a variety of vocal and post-production sound design scenarios. Unusual, otherwordly and special vocal effects are easy to dial in for uses on any tracks or post-production work for audiovisual media. With unique throat modelling and a simple set of controls that are easy to get to grips with, Antares Mutator will enable you to create the vocal effects of your dreams, or nightmares.

Laid out in three control modules, you'll be able to extensively edit different aspects of your vocal track or utilise the ready to use presets with 24 effect variations of mutation for a quick fix for your vocal processing needs. You can even create your own language by chopping up, reversing and pulling your vocal tracks into an unrecognisable sonic phenomenon.

Start editing and transforming your voice in no time

Antares have made Mutator intuitive and simple to use, you'll be up and running in no time with a set up process and controls on a clean interface that will fast become second nature and indispensable in your vocal processing. Starting with the clever vocal range selector, you'll be able to dial in Mutator's pitch tracking algorithm with options including, soprano, alto/tenor, baritone/bass, and instrument to suitably match to your track. From there you can then experiment with controls to set the character of your voice, including shift pitch, throat length and throat width that uses special throat modelling to great effect. Then using, 24 different varieties of of mutation you can morph and mangle your vocal track and take it places you never thought possible. Finally, the powerful Alienize section will take your track to another universe by chopping and reversing in real time.

Mutate your vocals into something otherworldly

There are 24 different varieties of 'Mutation' to choose from to enhance your vocals, all created with a pitch-tracking ring modulator that will have your tracks sounding like nothing else you've ever heard. Odd-numbered settings will result in rougher harmonic overtones, where as even-numbered settings results in smooth harmonic overtones giving you ultimate versatility over your choice of your sound.

A whole compliment of syncing options

Mutator comes loaded with a group of syncing options at different points of the process so you can get it working with your DAW and sync it up directly to the signal input. This works extremely well with the Alienize section that will then allow you to chop up your audio in time with your project's tempo saving you time so you don't have to match up manually. Tempo Sync when used with the Dialect dial enables you to reflect divisions of the tempo from 4/4 up to 1/32 32nd note triplet for more "alien" sounding audio clips.
