Featuring a handmade, custom capsule; the OC7 delivers natural, transparent sound thanks to the linear frequency response and ability to withstand high sound pressure levels (SPL). It also features ultra-low self-noise, helping to provide a clean and focused overall sound.

The result is a natural and open sound with silky mids and highs with a full-bodied low-end response. The OCC7 capsule takes inspiration from the iconic CK1 capsule, combining elements of the original design with modern innovation. The capsule itself is constructed with a three-micron thick gold-coated, polyethylene naphthalate (pen) diaphragm – resulting in a highly robust design.

Onboard high-pass filter and -10dB pad

Building on the success of previous OC-series models, Austrian Audio has incorporated the same principles that made its siblings so sought after. In addition to the innovative swivel joint design; the OC7 also features onboard attenuation so you can adjust the overall sound of the microphone. The inclusion of a switchable high-pass filter allows you to shape your sound and is great for removing unwanted low-end rumble in certain spaces. There are two settings to choose from – 40Hz (2nd order) and 80Hz (2nd order) as well as included -10dB analog pad for added versatility.
