The RD-78 brings back the warm, punchy tones of the 70s with its true analogue circuitry. Designed as an authentic reproduction of the original CR-78, it delivers 15 classic drum sounds, each with mix parameters and global accent capabilities. These vintage-style beats work across a wide range of genres, from synth-pop to electronic and experimental music.

With dedicated analogue outputs for each drum sound, you can process and mix individual elements externally, giving you full creative control over your drum patterns.

Flexible rhythm programming

The RD-78 features 34 built-in rhythm presets, each with fill-in, roll, and break variations. These patterns can be used as-is or customised to create unique beats. The 16-step sequencer allows for real-time switching between 32 separate patterns, making live performance and studio work more fluid.

Patterns can be chained into full songs with up to 250 bars, ensuring you have plenty of space for complex arrangements. Whether you're jamming or composing, the RD-78 keeps your workflow smooth and intuitive.

Hands-on control

With 18 controls and 29 switches, the RD-78 gives you direct access to essential parameters. The 16 step buttons with LED indicators make pattern creation clear and easy, allowing for quick changes and edits.
