Where other drum machines or libraries may use samples or even commonly used synthesis techniques, Drumaxx takes a different approach by employing intelligent modelling algorithms. A tremendous leap forward in electronic music production, Drumaxx's algorithms are not based on oscillators or pre-recorded samples and therefore don't fall victim to the typical 'electronic and sterile' sounds of other plug-ins.
The algorithms included in Drumaxx can be used to create a myriad of different sounds, whether that's realistic snares, bass drums, percussion or even modelling existing electronic samples with more dynamic expression than ever before. Pushing the envelope on what is possible with digital drum modelling, Drumaxx can even convincingly create cymbal sounds and metallic orchestral percussion.
Control the details
In order to create the most authentic drum sounds possible, Drumaxx uses a complex model where each hit is analysed and broken down into component parts. The vibrating membrane of the drum or cymbal is represented as a mesh of interconnected points, where each point is given physical properties such as mass, inertia, stiffness, damping and more to make up the scientific nature of the drum hit. This is translated into parameters that you have complete control over within Drumaxx to manipulate and create the exact sounds you need for your music and mix.
Take control over the material, thickness, tension and envelope of your modelled drum as well as the body material, vibration and damping and craft your unique sonic signature that will get your music heard amongst the crowd. Additionally, these parameters can be modulated in real-time through velocity control to create dynamic, exciting and lively performances.
