Simply looking different is not enough to make the grade in today's demanding market, so Sontronics set out to make the OMEGA sound as good as it looks.

The highly sensitive 1.07" capsule is isolated away from the body of the microphone, in the large basket, ensuring every subtle nuance is captured. Housed in the tall, cylindrical body, is the industry-standard ECC83/12AX7 vacuum tube, which gives the OMEGA its classic tone.

OMEGA's cardioid polar pattern delivers stunning results when recording vocals, where its proximity characteristics can be used to maximum effect. The rich, warm low frequencies blend together with sparkling highs to produce an extremely satisfying result, reminiscent of the quality only experienced from microphones costing many times more.

Like HELIOS, the OMEGA has its own special SPS-2 power supply unit, which has both a low-cut filter and a -10dB pad. For critical vocal applications, OMEGA deserves a place in any recording set-up.

The microphone is supplied in a luxury wooden box and, together with its own spider shockmount, power supply and cables, it is protected by a high quality aluminium flight case.

EZdrummer Lite is the stripped down version of the multi-microphone drum-sampler EZdrummer. It is designed for musicians and producers in need of a compact, affordable, easy to handle plug-in without compromising sound quality or control.

The visualized drums in the interface combine auditioning of sounds and drumkit construction. The extensive drag and drop midi-library enables users to create a great drumtrack in less than five mouse-clicks. For more advanced handling, users can control microphone bleeding and levels between drums using the internal mixer. The mixer also allows stereo and multitrack routing into the host through one single plug-in, and thanks to the second generation Toontrack Percussive Compression (TPC), system requirements are kept to a minimum. The drums for EZdrummer Lite were recorded, produced and played by the best in the business at Avatar Studios in New York.
