Tube-Based Passive Program Equalizer

The EM 1A Equalizer Module is a compact Eurorack-style module that bases its design on the classic Tube-Tech PE 1C program equalizer. The EM 1A features an all-tube design, utilising two tube diodes (ECC 82 and ECC 83) to deliver that classic tube warmth. The equalizer module is perfect for sound design and recording treatment, truly shining when it comes to treating vocals and instruments.

Comprehensive Controls

Keeping true to the original, the EM 1A includes a tube-based push-pull amplifier as well as transformer balanced, fully floating I/O connections. The control section is comprised of a low frequency boost and high frequency boost section. The shelving and peaking controls allow you to make precise changes to the overall sound, ideal for everything from treating vocals as part of an effect chain to acting as a simple low-pass filter for a synth lead sound. The filtering section features a passive design follow by a tube-based push-pull amp, restoring the gain for optimal audio fidelity. The high frequency boost section features a variable bandwidth as well as the shelving attenuation for added flexibility.

Compact, Retro Design

The compact yet robust Eurorack-module style design will easily fit within any modular setup, requiring only 2U of rack space. The module provides no insertion loss for optimised audio performance and features a static screen between the primary and secondary wirings to ensure maximum stability. The front-panel provides a retro-aesthetic featuring vintage-style plastic potentiometers complete with gold-plated switches.
