Key Features
Product Ref: 398132
The 100AS is designed to give you a dependable instrument for those important first steps on alto saxophone. Its keys are rib mounted rather than attached individually to the body, adding strength to the keywork and helping the saxophone resonate. That added durability is particularly useful while you are learning and getting used to handling your instrument. The tri-point brace also reduces unnecessary weight while providing structural support, so you get a robust saxophone that remains manageable during regular practice. With an Eb tuning and a range spanning low Bb to high F#, you have plenty of scope to develop your playing.
Made from yellow brass with a gold lacquer finish, the 100AS gives you a useful balance of brightness and sonority. This helps keep its sound versatile without introducing an overly harsh character, making it well suited to learning and developing your own playing style. Its one-piece bell and body also contribute to the instrument's resonance and projection, adding brilliance while helping notes speak clearly. The result is a responsive saxophone that supports you as your technique develops, whether it is your first instrument or an affordable second saxophone for additional practice.
A responsive instrument can make learning feel more natural, and the 100AS uses its construction to help your notes come through clearly. The one-piece bell and body improve resonance and projection, while the rib-mounted keywork further supports the way the instrument resonates. Together, these features give you a saxophone that responds readily and produces a clear, projecting sound. That makes it easier to focus on your playing rather than fighting against an unresponsive instrument. And with its versatile yellow brass tone, the 100AS can support you through regular lessons, home practice, and continued development.
The included lightweight case gives your 100AS a secure place to stay between playing sessions. Its moulded interior is shaped specifically for the saxophone and lined with soft-touch black fabric to help protect the gold lacquer finish. Carrying options include top and side handles as well as backpack straps, giving you flexibility when travelling to lessons or rehearsals. A large zipped front compartment provides room for sheet music, while an internal storage area can hold accessories such as wax and a pull-through. You also get a mouthpiece and ligature, providing the key accessories.
