About Pearl Flutes
Pearl have always been innovators within their field, continuously researching the materials and manufacturing techniques used in the production of their flutes. Many of the factory workers have worked for Pearl exclusively, learning through apprenticeship courses led by Pearl's elite master craftsmen and designers. This ensures that Pearl flutes are highly playable with impressive tonal character as well as durable and hard wearing with highly accurate intonation.
One-Piece Core Bar
The Pearl 505E Flute is constructed with Pearl's One-Piece Core-Bar design which helps prevent the traditional wear and tear issues associated with the flutes of the past. Providing reliability and stability around weaker areas on the flute, this design also provides a more comfortable action for all players.
The Pearl 505E keywork is built upon the patented pinless construction system, to help eliminate many of the problems associated with traditional flute manufacture and reduce the areas affected by humidity and temperature change. This mechanism gives added strength to the bridge section of the flute. The Pearl 505E provides an easy and unique playing experience for all.
Split E and Offset G Mechanisms
Designed with playability in mind, the flute's Split E mechanism allows you to play the difficult top E - typically a weak sounding and unreliable note - with far greater ease and consistency. The flute also has an Offset G key, which provides a more natural hand position, especially for younger or smaller players.
The Silver plated headjoint is curved to accommodate smaller hands, allowing younger learners to access all keys easily. The 505EUS also comes supplied with a straight headjoint for later progression, ensuring that the instrument will remain with the player as they grow.
