The Signature Custom RAW XS was developed through extensive testing and feedback from saxophonists looking for a genuine vintage sound rather than simply a vintage look. Its raw, unlacquered brass body is left in its natural manufactured state, allowing the instrument to resonate freely. Instead of applying an aged-effect finish, Trevor James preserves the brass and carefully hand buffs the RAW XS model to create the appearance of a well-played classic saxophone while maintaining modern manufacturing standards.
