Key Features
The Gretsch Catalina Maple 22'' 5pc is ideal for intermediate drummers ready to step up with a full-sounding, all-in-one acoustic kit for rehearsals, home recording and live gigs. The 7-ply maple shells deliver a smooth, resonant tone, while the 30 degree bearing edges give each drum a focused attack. This makes it easy to get a clear, balanced mix across the kit.
It also includes a set of Istanbul Agop XIST cymbals, known for their clean, bright sound, along with a sturdy hardware pack and drum throne, so you're ready to play straight out of the box. With Gretsch-branded Remo heads, a double tom holder, and chrome hardware, this kit brings reliable quality and solid performance for developing drummers who want a step up in both tone and feel.

The 7-ply maple construction gives the kit its signature sound—rich, full, and versatile enough for a range of styles. Whether you’re laying down grooves at practice or tracking parts in the studio, the natural warmth of maple helps every stroke sit comfortably in a mix. The consistent shell build also adds strength and reliability, keeping the tone focused and dependable over time.
The 30° bearing edges offer a balance between warmth and precision. They let the head sit flatter on the shell, increasing contact and giving each drum a quicker response with more sustain. This makes them easier to tune, especially when switching between low and high tunings—perfect for players who like to experiment or gig regularly.
The included Istanbul Agop XIST cymbals give this kit a professional edge, with clean articulation and well-defined sustain. They’re paired with a matching hardware pack—hi-hat stand, snare stand, cymbal stands, and pedal—plus a comfortable drum throne. It’s a complete setup that removes the need for extra purchases, so you can focus on playing.
Chrome hardware and triple-flanged 2.3mm steel hoops keep things solid and responsive under pressure. The kit includes a double tom holder to simplify positioning, while the Gretsch-branded Remo heads offer a ready-to-play sound straight from the box. Every element is built to support regular use, making this kit a practical choice for daily practice, sessions, and shows.
