Cut through with crisp attack
The aluminium shell produces a focused, dry mid-range tone with a crisp attack and minimal overtones. This gives your snare hits plenty of clarity, helping them remain defined whether you're playing live or recording in the studio. Its bright, cutting character also provides the projection needed to stand out within a busy mix. At 1.2mm thick, the shell balances warmth, bright projection, and high sensitivity, giving you a versatile tonal response across different tunings. This combination makes the snare particularly useful for rock, pop, punk, funk, indie, metal, and other styles that benefit from clear, punchy snare sounds.
Add depth without losing focus
The 14” x 6.5” dimensions give this snare a full-bodied fundamental pitch alongside louder projection and a powerful rimshot. Its extra depth contributes body, warmth, and low-end presence, giving harder strikes plenty of weight. But that deeper character doesn't limit you to one sound. Tighten the snare when you want a more focused response, and it can retain its body while producing a more controlled character. This makes the drum adaptable when your playing or musical setting changes, giving you both the depth associated with its 6.5” shell and the crisp articulation of aluminium construction.
Responsive across your playing dynamics
Hand-selected 42-strand steel snare wires provide a balance of articulation, sensitivity, and shell resonance, helping the drum respond expressively across different playing dynamics. The 1.2mm aluminium shell also provides high sensitivity, allowing the snare to combine its powerful projection with plenty of detail. This makes it useful when your playing moves between stronger rimshots and more controlled snare work. A coated batter head and clear resonant head complete the setup, while the combination of aluminium construction and 42-strand snare wires gives you a responsive voice suited to both performance and recording.
Open resonance with a distinctive finish
The 1.5mm triple-flange steel hoops provide a slightly more open and resonant sound than thicker hoops, complementing the focused character of the aluminium shell. Eight low-mass lugs provide the shell hardware, with a Premier snare strainer completing the mechanism. The brushed aluminium finish gives the drum a distinctive appearance with a durable, low-maintenance surface, while chrome hardware adds a contrasting finishing touch. Together, the bright character of aluminium, deeper 6.5” dimensions, and open response of the triple-flange hoops create a versatile snare designed for both live and studio use.
