Introducing NovaTone
The Eden NovaTone range distills decades of bass amp expertise into a sleek set of powerful UK-designed bass heads and cabinets, offering a fresh design and layout that suits touring, practice, and studio use. Reviving the iconic Eden tones that bass players have cherished for decades, the NovaTone series offers classic Eden reimagined for the modern player.
The NovaTone 300's solid state circuitry offers clarity, warmth, and balance, whilst the front panel controls offer huge flexibility in tonal shaping. Whether you're looking for a stand-out slap bass tone, a gripping heavy sound or something low-key and balanced, NovaTone has got your back. Nodding both in looks and sound to the renowned Eden World Tour bass heads, the NovaTone 300 triumphantly preserves Eden’s rich heritage of high-fidelity tones.
Renowned tone shaping
The NovaTone 300 offers in-depth EQ controls to tailor your sound - with center-notched pots for smooth adjustments. The EQ section consists of five knobs: Low, Low-Mid, High-Mid, and High, with the two mid-EQ adjustments linked to mid-sweep controls for precise cuts and boosts.
This detailed EQ is especially helpful for bassists touring without their own cabinets, allowing you to adjust your sound at each gig — whether going through a PA or a house cab — before any further processing is applied.
Eden 'Enhance' feature
Eden’s world-renowned “Enhance” feature is also present on the NovaTone 300. Positioned alongside the EQ section, this simple yet effective control boosts bass and treble frequencies while cutting mids, offering unrivaled clarity and presence in your tone.
Turning up the Enhance control shifts your sound towards a modern, scooped profile while maintaining a punchy low end. Many players even bypass the EQ entirely, relying on just the right amount of Enhance to achieve their ideal tone.
Gain staging made easy
The front panel of the NovaTone 300 provides high and low inputs - ideal for active and passive basses respectively - ensuring your instrument drives the circuitry inside perfectly. The Gain knob allows for precise adjustment of input amplification, while the Master knob controls overall output volume.
The Comp control lets you dial in a desired level of compression, great for balancing out hard playing styles like slap bass. Having this compression in the box alongside the in-depth tone shaping is especially useful for those seeking a compact rig.
Expansive connectivity
The Eden NovaTone 300 is designed with a comprehensive set of connectivity options, making it adaptable to a wide range of performance and studio needs. The DI out includes a ground lift and level adjustment, along with pre/post switches, ensuring seamless integration with PA systems and recording setups.
An FX send/return loop allows you to easily incorporate external effects, while the dedicated tuner output ensures silent tuning at any time. For personal practice, the front panel offers both aux input and headphone connections, giving you the ability to practice with backing tracks in complete silence.
NovaTone modular compatibility
The NovaTone 300, paired with the new range of Eden NovaTone bass cabs, offers a unique modular solution for players frequently switching between studio, gig, and home. Each NovaTone cabinet features a removable section, allowing you to quickly and easily insert a NovaTone bass head, transforming the unit into a perfectly matched combo amplifier for both gigging and studio use.
Available in configurations including 2x10”, 4x10” 1x12”, 2x12” and 1x15” the NovaTone cabs deliver crisp, defined tones with a powerful low-end. Inspired by Eden’s legendary D-Series touring cabinets, these cabs continue an historical collaboration with Eminence, boasting custom, reimagined speakers which provide signature Eden tones with exceptional clarity and precision.
Stage and studio ready
The NovaTone 300 comes with a pair of rack ears for easy mounting, whether on the road or in a studio setup. With all tone-shaping controls, a headphone output and clipping LEDs conveniently front-mounted, all of the information you need remains easily accessible even when the head is in a rack.
The head's voltage-switchable design ensures compatibility with international power standards wherever you are, and the durable chassis is designed to handle the rigors of the road. The four adjustable feet allow you to setup anywhere, and the front-mounted handles double up as protection for the power switch whilst playing.
Additionally, a front-mounted mute button lets you quickly mute the master output while sending signal to the tuner output on the back, enabling an ultra-compact tuning setup for gigs. This feature is also perfect for swapping basses during a set, or for muting the amp before turning it off to avoid the dreaded power thud.
