The Fortin 33 was developed with Meshuggah guitarist Fredrik Thordendal to create a boost pedal capable of delivering the precise attack, articulation and aggression demanded by modern progressive metal. Mike Fortin and Fredrik spent countless hours refining the circuit and voicing until the pedal delivered the exact feel and response they were chasing. The result is a pedal specifically engineered for crushing rhythm tones, fast palm-muted riffs and highly focused high-gain performance. Fredrik continues to use the 33 in both studio and live environments, further cementing its reputation among modern metal players.

Focused high-gain amp tightening

Unlike traditional overdrive pedals that significantly colour your amplifier’s tone, the 33 is designed to sharpen and tighten the front end of a high-gain amplifier while preserving the amp’s core character.
