The MELOFTY Axom Max is far more than a classic multi-effects unit. As a modern hybrid audio processor designed for guitar, bass, recording, and sound design, it combines amp and instrument modeling, DeepSynth™ synthesis, multi-effects, MFIM™ Tone Capture, AI-assisted sound shaping, preset and scene control, and a professional USB audio interface into a single, powerful floorboard.


With over 400 amp models, more than 210 cabinet models, over 130 effect models, over 70 instrument models, and more than 50 synthesizer sounds, the Axom Max offers an enormous sonic range. Additionally, the Axom Max supports NAM A2 (Neural Audio Modeler) files and third-party impulse responses in WAV format (up to 2,048 samples), allowing for flexible expansion of the sound library. Using MFIM™ (Multidimensional Fusion Inverse Modeling) Tone Capture technology, amplifiers, pedals, and cabinets can be captured as unique digital models, saved, and managed or shared via the MELOFTY Cloud. This enables the creation of a personal tone library that can be continuously expanded.

Transform your guitar into anything

DeepSynth™ technology transforms the guitar into a versatile synthesizer without the need for a MIDI pickup. More than 50 synthesizer sounds respond in real time to picking dynamics and playing style. DeepSynth™ instrument modeling also allows for the creation of over 70 instrument characters - ranging from organ, saxophone, violin, and flute to traditional Asian instruments.

The MELOFTY AI Tone Model enables sound selection via prompts: users can describe the sound they envision, and the Axom Max assembles suitable amps and tone models accordingly. Vocal Instrumentalization allows vocals to be transformed into instrumental sounds in real time, enhanced by natural harmonies, pitch correction, reverb, and delay. The device is operated via a 7-inch HD touchscreen. Signal paths and effect chains can be created and edited using drag-and-drop functionality. Two independent effect chains - each with up to nine slots - can be connected in series or parallel, or via split / merge configurations. A total of 19 effect modules and 504 preset slots are available.

Live & studio workhorse

For live use, the Axom Max offers four configurable footswitch modes: Preset, Subpatch, Stomp, and Hybrid. Six Subpatch scenes per preset allow for rapid sound changes without switching presets. The integrated expression pedal controls two effect parameters (EXP1/EXP2), while an additional pedal can be connected for EXP3. MIDI CC Learn and USB-MIDI enable flexible control of presets, effects, scenes, the looper, and expression functions. An FX loop with two sends and two returns allows for the integration of external effects units into the signal path and supports complex setups, including the 4-cable method. This enables the Axom Max to function either as a standalone floorboard or as the central control and processing unit of an extensive rig. A stereo looper with up to 60 minutes of recording time is available for songwriting, practice, and live performance. Features such as Undo / Redo, Reverse, Half-Speed, and Auto Record expand its creative possibilities. As a professional 8-in / 8-out USB audio interface, the Axom Max integrates recording, monitoring, and reamping directly into your setup. Dry / wet recording and low-latency hardware monitoring ensure flexible DAW integration. The combo XLR / TRS input handles both microphone and line-level signals and provides 48V phantom power for compatible condenser microphones. Additionally, Bluetooth 5.0 enables wireless playback of backing tracks and other audio sources.

Easy editing

AXOM Controller software for Windows and Mac is available for editing and management on your computer. It facilitates preset management, import / export functions, the management of IRs and MFIM data, as well as backups and firmware updates. The MELOFTY SFT app complements this by enabling mobile data management via Bluetooth. Through the MELOFTY Cloud, users can organize their own Tone Capture models and sounds and share them with other musicians.
