This means you can make broader changes to the bass and treble while also choosing where your midrange control takes effect. It’s a useful setup when you need to adapt your bass sound for different parts, playing approaches, or tonal preferences. Rather than relying on a fixed EQ character, you have the controls needed to dial in the output you want.
The Sire Premium J+MM pickup set combines two distinct pickup formats, giving you flexible options for shaping your core bass tone. Its Alnico humbucker provides the groovy humbucker character central to the Z7 design, while the split Jazz pickup adds another tonal option. The Jazz pickup is also designed to reduce hum when you use it by itself or combine it with the humbucker.
