Classic analog modulation with added flexibility
The Chorus Vibrato Mod takes Warm Audio's analog chorus and vibrato circuit and places it into a compact, pedalboard-friendly enclosure with extra control. Its chorus section uses a modern recreation of the MN3007 Bucket Brigade Device chip, supported by premium components including Texas Instruments audio op amps, discrete transistors, FETs, and diodes.
The circuit is carefully clocked to reproduce the depth and rate associated with the original design, giving you detailed analog modulation rather than digital emulation. Top-mounted connections also make the compact enclosure easier to incorporate into a busy pedalboard, while a single input and two outputs support both straightforward and stereo signal chains.
Choose how the analog preamp behaves
A built-in analog preamp gives you another way to shape how the pedal interacts with your rig. In Vintage mode, the preamp remains in the signal path, with its Level control adding bite, depth, and some natural compression to your guitar tone.
Switch to Modern mode and you can bypass the preamp, which is useful when you need closer control over gain staging across larger signal chains. High and Low input sensitivity settings provide further adjustment. Internally, a dual DC-DC voltage converter maintains the circuit's required operating voltage while the pedal is powered from an external 9V supply, with current consumption rated at 200mA.
Fine-tune chorus and vibrato movement
Separate Depth and Rate controls give you more freedom than the vintage-style intensity arrangement that inspired this pedal. Rather than increasing rate while working with a fixed chorus depth, the Chorus Vibrato Mod lets you adjust both parameters independently. That means you can dial in restrained movement, change modulation speed without losing your chosen depth, or push towards more obvious chorus textures.
The Vibrato setting provides its own depth and rate controls, opening the door to bouncing, rotary-like sounds for styles including funk, fusion, blues, and jazz. A flashing LED provides a clear visual indication of the selected effect and its modulation rate while you're playing.
Match the pedal to different instruments and rigs
Selectable input impedance helps the Chorus Vibrato Mod work with a wider range of sources. Choose the vintage 50k ohm setting for the original-style response or switch to 1.1M Hi-Z when using passive string instruments and you want to retain more high-frequency clarity. This impedance selection also works while the effect is bypassed.
For amplification, the wet/dry stereo outputs can feed two amps to create wide chorus soundscapes, while the pedal can equally sit in front of a single clean or driven amplifier. At 2.8 inches wide and 4.5 inches long, the enclosure keeps these controls and connection options within a compact pedalboard footprint.
