Designed for large scale audio workflows
The UMD192 is built to handle demanding sessions where channel count and reliability matter. Offering up to 192 channels over USB, MADI, or Dante, it supports complex recording and playback setups without forcing compromises.
This makes it a strong choice for broadcast facilities, high spec studios, and live sound systems that need consistent performance across many sources and destinations. Its ability to work at sample rates from 44.1 kHz up to 192 kHz ensures compatibility with a wide range of professional projects. You can run large sessions at standard rates or push higher resolutions when required, all while keeping routing clear and manageable.
Flexible bridging between USB, MADI, and Dante
One of the UMD192’s biggest strengths is its ability to route audio freely between USB, MADI, and Dante. Any two formats can exchange audio directly, while the third receives a split feed. This approach simplifies system design and reduces the need for extra conversion hardware.
It works especially well when bringing MADI based equipment into a Dante network or capturing high channel count audio straight into a DAW via USB 3.0. Fully interoperable Dante support includes AES67 and ST 2110 compatibility with Dante Domain Manager, helping the interface slot neatly into modern networked audio environments.
Built for reliability in critical environments
Reliability is a priority in live sound and broadcast, and the UMD192 is designed with that in mind. Six MADI BNC pairs can be configured for redundant operation, allowing three dual redundant MADI connections.
This setup helps protect signal flow during mission critical use. Clocking can be sourced from either Dante or MADI, giving you flexibility when integrating into existing systems. Dante latency can be set as low as 0.25 ms, supporting tight timing requirements where accuracy matters.
Compact control with flexible power options
The half rack UMD192 keeps a small footprint without sacrificing clarity. Its front panel provides clear visual feedback for signal flow, clock status, power, and network connectivity. Controls are locked by default to prevent accidental changes, with a simple hold action to unlock and adjust settings when needed.
Power flexibility adds another layer of reassurance. The unit can run from AC mains, Power over Ethernet, or USB, either individually or together for redundancy. This makes it easy to build resilient setups in studios, portable rigs, and temporary installations where dependable operation is essential.
