Key Features
The WMutes Metal Violin & Viola Practice Mute is ideal for string players who want quieter practice without sacrificing tonal clarity. Its refined brass construction reduces your instrument's volume while maintaining a focused, stable sound with natural resonance. Despite its compact size, it provides a similar level of muting to standard rubber practice mutes, making it useful for practising at home or in smaller spaces.
The carefully balanced design preserves your instrument's response, so you can work on articulation, string crossings, and other techniques without losing clarity. It also helps minimise unwanted wolf tones while keeping your intonation unchanged. Plus, the integrated clip mechanism makes attaching and removing the mute quick and straightforward. Rubber-cork contact surfaces protect your bridge against scratches and marks, while providing a secure fit on both modern and traditional bridge designs. Finished in matte silver, this compact mute combines practical volume reduction with a controlled, natural playing experience.
