Natural tone with SRT technology
The SVC300F uses Yamaha's dedicated SRT Powered System to recreate the resonance associated with an acoustic cello while preserving the advantages of a silent design. Rather than using pre-recorded samples, the system processes the signal from the piezo pickup in real time, allowing your playing dynamics and expression to remain at the centre of the sound. Combined with the instrument's internal cavity structure, this produces a warmer, more natural response that feels familiar whether you're practising, recording, or performing live.
Shape your sound with confidence
Fine-tune your sound to suit different spaces and musical styles using the onboard controls. Blend adjustment lets you balance different sound types, while dedicated bass and treble EQ helps you refine your overall tone. Room and Hall reverb options add a sense of space without needing external processing. Together, these controls give you the flexibility to create a sound that fits rehearsals, studio sessions, and live performances with minimal setup.
Built for reliable performance
Designed with regular performers in mind, the SVC300F features worm gear tuning pegs that make accurate tuning quick and straightforward, even between songs. The maple neck, spruce and maple body, ebony fingerboard, Aubert maple bridge, and Wittner Ultra tailpiece combine traditional materials with dependable hardware for a familiar playing feel. The Pearl White finish completes the instrument with a distinctive appearance that's well suited to the stage.
Everything you need to get started
The SVC300F includes practical accessories to help you start playing immediately. An original soft case makes transport and storage easier, while the supplied chest support improves comfort during longer sessions. D'Addario Helicore strings come fitted, providing a dependable playing setup from the outset. Flexible power options include two AA batteries or a compatible Yamaha power adaptor (both sold separately), giving you the freedom to practise or perform in a range of situations.
