Full double horn versatility
The YHR-567 gives you access to the flexibility expected from a full double French horn, making it well suited to advancing ensemble and orchestral playing. The Bb side provides security and clarity in higher passages, while the F side delivers the broader, warmer character often preferred for lyrical and lower-register playing. Having both options available allows you to adapt more naturally to different styles of music and technical demands. For progressing horn players preparing for higher-grade exams, youth orchestras, or conservatoire auditions, this versatility becomes increasingly important as repertoire grows more challenging.
Warm, focused sound from gold brass
The medium-sized gold brass bell gives the YHR-567 a warm tonal core with clear projection and impressive control across the registers. Gold brass typically produces a slightly darker, richer character than yellow brass, making it particularly appealing for orchestral and ensemble blending. Notes remain centred and stable, helping you play with confidence during exposed passages and section work. Additionally, the 12 mm bore supports a responsive feel without excessive resistance, allowing dynamic changes and articulation to feel controlled and natural as your technique develops further.
Built for comfort and practicality
Yamaha designed the YHR-567 with player comfort in mind, right down to the smaller details. The adjustable fourth valve thumb lever helps you customise the hand position for a more natural playing feel, which can really help during longer rehearsals and performances. A built-in water key also makes instrument maintenance quicker and more convenient between sessions. And thanks to the detachable bell design, transporting the horn becomes much easier. The instrument packs into a more compact case size, making it more practical for regular travel to lessons, rehearsals, and concerts.
Reliable Yamaha construction
Consistency and durability are central to Yamaha’s brass instrument design, and the YHR-567 reflects that throughout. Solid rotary valves provide smooth, dependable action, while the mechanical lever system offers a direct and responsive feel under the fingers. The clear lacquer finish protects the instrument while maintaining its polished appearance through regular use. Supplied with an HR-32C4 mouthpiece and fitted case, the YHR-567 arrives ready for practice and performance straight away. Altogether, it’s a dependable double horn setup that supports developing players as they move towards more advanced musical demands.
